Official agreement governing the use of Ahu services, platform rights, exam integrity, and account responsibilities.
Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between Ahu ("Ahu", "we", "us", or "our"), operating in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, and any individual or entity accessing or using the platform ("User", "you").
By creating an account, assembling exams, registering an organization, or joining an exam via a join code or link, you agree that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue using the platform immediately.
To register as an educator or organizational administrator, you must be at least 18 years of age or possess legal capacity. Student participants access exams under the authorization and direction of their teacher or educational institution.
Platform Purpose and Account Categories
Ahu is an examination workspace designed for teachers, tutors, and educational institutions to create question banks, construct exams, and analyze student performance.
The platform provides three distinct user categories:
- Sole Teachers (Independent Educators): Private tutors and individual instructors. Full ownership and management of their personal material bank, exams, and student delivery sessions.
- Firms (Schools & Tutoring Centers): Organizations with multiple teachers. Group teachers into subject departments/categories, assign granular administrative roles and permissions, and oversee collective exam performance.
- Students (Exam Participants): Students take exams in their browser. By default, no account is required — students join with a code or link and enter their name. An optional student account is available solely to review past exam submissions and history. Student accounts cannot create questions or exams.
Account Registration, Security, and Phone Verification
Maintaining account authenticity and platform security is essential for all users.
Teachers must provide accurate, current, and complete registration details, including full name, email, and a secure password.
To ensure platform integrity and prevent unauthorized spam or abuse, every Sole Teacher account requires mandatory mobile phone verification via a one-time verification code (SMS OTP). Question bank and exam authoring features remain locked until phone verification is complete.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify Ahu immediately upon becoming aware of any unauthorized access to your account.
Exam Delivery and Student Participation
Ahu offers versatile exam delivery formats tailored to modern classroom and remote learning requirements:
Exam duration, passing scores, late-join policies, and question/option randomization are determined solely by the presiding educator.
Results, statistical distributions, and question breakdowns are generated immediately upon exam submission. Open-ended or manual review questions are graded under educator discretion.
- Live Exam Events: Synchronous group exams conducted via a short alphanumeric join code. Students gather in a virtual waiting room until the educator initiates the exam.
- Exam Variants (A, B, C...): Educators can deliver multiple distinct exam variants within the same event. The platform assigns variants randomly to adjacent students to eliminate copying.
- Private Links: Unique asynchronous URLs issued for individual student evaluation on their own schedule.
Academic Integrity and Anti-Cheat Monitoring
To protect exam fairness and valid assessment outcomes, Ahu includes an automated academic integrity monitoring suite.
Educators can configure three monitoring tiers: Off (unmonitored practice), Warn (records events and alerts students), and Strict (automatically locks students out after exceeding violation limits).
During an exam session, the platform monitors browser-level events, including:
- Window & Focus Loss: Navigating away from the active exam tab, minimizing the browser, or switching to external applications.
- Fullscreen Exit: Exiting fullscreen mode during exams configured to require it.
- Copy & Context Menu Interception: Attempts to copy question text to the clipboard or open browser context menus.
- Developer Tools Inspection: Attempts to open developer inspection tools or debug consoles.
- Multiple Network Locations: Accessing the same ongoing session simultaneously from disparate IP addresses.
- Abnormally Rapid Completion: Submitting answers at speeds inconsistent with human reading and comprehension.
Intellectual Property and Content Ownership
Educators and institutions retain uncompromised ownership over all content authored on Ahu.
All questions, explanations, diagrams, exam structures, and pedagogical resources created or uploaded by users remain their exclusive property.
You grant Ahu a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license solely to store, render, format, and deliver your content to your designated students as required to operate the service.
Ahu will never sell, publish, or distribute your private question bank to third parties. When an instructor separates from an educational firm, their personal question bank remains intact under their own authorship.
You warrant that you possess the necessary intellectual property rights or educational fair-use permissions for all materials you upload.
AI Document Digitization and Optical Recognition
Ahu enables educators to import questions from external PDF documents and image scans using automated recognition technology.
Uploaded materials are parsed through specialized optical recognition (OCR) models to extract text, mathematical formulas, tables, and illustrations.
Automated digitization serves purely as an efficiency aid. No extracted content is permanently added to your Material Bank without your explicit review and confirmation.
Educators bear sole responsibility for verifying the scientific accuracy, formatting, and correctness of imported questions before administering them to students.
Subscription Plans, Billing, and Cancellations
Ahu provides transparent tier-based subscriptions with predictable monthly and annual billing.
Individual educators can choose between Free, Starter, Pro, and Expert tiers. Institutions can select Firm Standard or Firm Premium.
Pricing is denominated in Azerbaijani Manat (AZN). Quarterly upfront billing includes a 10% discount, and annual billing includes a 20% discount.
Each tier specifies hard capacity limits (active exams, participants per event, monthly student sessions, OCR import scans). If a limit is reached, your account will not be charged unexpected overage fees; you will simply be invited to upgrade your plan.
Payment transactions are processed securely through licensed domestic payment gateways in compliance with national financial regulations. Payment card details are tokenized directly with the payment processor and are never stored on Ahu infrastructure.
You may cancel recurring subscriptions at any time via your account settings. Access to paid features continues uninterrupted until the conclusion of the active prepaid billing period.
Official Ahu promotional codes may be redeemed during checkout for designated discounts or complimentary service periods.
Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
To ensure a secure and reliable learning environment, the following actions are strictly prohibited:
- Infringing or Unlawful Content: Uploading materials that violate copyright laws, or contain defamatory, fraudulent, or abusive content.
- System Interference: Attempting to probe, scan, or breach platform infrastructure, distribute malicious code, or degrade system availability.
- Automated Extraction: Utilizing automated scrapers, crawlers, or harvesting tools to extract question banks or user data without authorization.
- Academic Fraud: Circumventing exam integrity systems, impersonating other participants, or redistributing live test materials.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Ahu commits to maintaining high availability and robust system resilience.
However, the platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Ahu cannot guarantee uninterrupted service during sudden ISP failures, client-side connectivity loss, or unforeseen force majeure events.
Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance whenever possible and scheduled during periods of lowest platform utilization.
Suspension and Account Termination
Ahu reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, engage in fraud, or compromise system security.
Users may request permanent deletion of their account and associated data at any time by contacting customer support.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If amicable resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan.
